Stop Smoking, As It Affects You More Than Your Male Partner

We all know that Smoking is injurious to health. However, we do it. But you know it affects you more in comparison with a man. We don’t mean that you should quit smoking and your male partner should continue. Both of you should stop smoking as soon as possible. It affects you more in comparison with a male. Here are some proofs to make you comprehend it:

Risks in Childbirth

You can have higher risks of infertility and conceiving problems if you smoke regularly. The chances of premature childbirth, stillbirth and the death of new-born are higher if you continue smoking during your pregnancy. Your constant smoking reduces the amount of your breast milk and you can find it hard to feed your new-born child. It also affects your male partner in terms of fertility, but you have to bear more.

Increased Risks of Cardiovascular Diseases

A Lancet study says you have a 25 percent higher risk of heart-related problems in comparison with your male partner. In addition, the risk gets higher for you year after year.

Stronger Effect on Arteries

According to a Europe based study, smoking affects the thickness of your carotid walls five times in comparison with a male if both of you consume tobacco in the same amount.

Double Risks of Lung Cancer

If you smoke as your male partner, you have two times higher risks of lung cancer, says a New York based study. It is, as the carcinogens in cigarettes react differently to women and men bodies.  Your body turns the carcinogens into carcinogens substances while men excrete some of the carcinogens via urine.
